We are taking part in this year’s Big Give Christmas challenge to raise money for our ‘Innovation Fund’ project which will help our service users improve their wellbeing and move towards an independent life.
The Big Give runs the UK’s biggest match funding campaign, the Christmas Challenge. The Christmas Challenge is a match funding campaign where donations to participating charities are doubled. The campaign is split into two parts, the pledges which are donations by organisations and the collective pot which are donations by the public.
After receiving £1400 from pledges from local businesses, which will be match funded by The Reed Foundation, we have a target of £2800 from the public funding campaign of the Big Give.
Kate Cunliffe, Homeless and Prevention Services Manager at Gateway; ‘We try to source available funding but often this doesn’t fund certain items. Using the Innovation Fund, our support workers can purchase items that will make a huge difference to our service users and help move their lives forward.’
The campaign will run from 29th November to 6th December. Donations of a minimum of £10 can be made online using a debit or credit card or Apple Pay and Google Pay.
