Gateway’s Bury Floating Support charity has received a generous donation of hygiene products from ethical cosmetics retailer Lush.
The Bury branch of Lush gave a selection of soaps, wash products and cosmetic items to the service, which works with local authorities in the Bury area to help people find accommodation and to sustain their tenancies.
The donation from Lush will help vulnerable homeless people in our community keep themselves clean and work toward their goal of living independently.
Louise Jackson, Floating Support Co-ordinator, said:
“We’re truly grateful for the donation from Lush. It’s easy to take thinks such as basic hygiene needs for granted, so this generous gift will make a big difference to some of the people who need it the most.”
Part of The Calico Group, Gateway provides opportunities for homeless people to develop their skills and employability, and get the support they need to move on to permanent accommodation.
