Lifesaving homelessness scheme shortlisted for prestigious housing award

Our Gateway scheme in Burnley is among the shortlisted entries for ‘Homelessness Scheme of the Year’ at the prestigious 24Housing Awards.

Gateway is a new, state of the art project that provides vital homelessness services that make significant improvements to people’s health and wellbeing.

Gateway provides opportunities for vulnerable and homeless people to develop their skills and employability, and get the support they need to move on to permanent accommodation.

The team at Gateway is delighted to have made the shortlist for the new category, which recognises successful homelessness schemes across the UK’s housing sector.

Kate Cunliffe, Homelessness Service Manager, said:

“I’m so thrilled that our service has been listed for such an amazing award.

“In the twelve months since Gateway launched, we have had a significant impact in improving the lives of so many people in the homelessness community.

“It makes me so proud to see this recognised by the 24Housing Awards.”

The 24Housing Awards is an annual celebration of the very best that the UK’s housing sector has to offer.

Winners will be announced at an evening of Celebration in at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, on October 10th.
